ABOUT TOTA
Hi, I’m Aimee Flack, the founder of TOTA – Train Owners, Treat Animals.
I graduated from Harper Adams University with a First-Class Honours degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2025 and bring a decade of hands-on experience working with horses, dogs, and cats. I am fully insured and a member of RAMP.
My journey began with a deep love for animals and a desire to help them move, heal, and perform at their best through evidence-based, compassionate care.
Alongside my work with animals, I’ve always had a personal passion for movement. A lifelong love of exercise, from the gym, yoga, Pilates to running. This naturally evolved into a desire to support others on their own fitness journeys. This inspired the fitness coaching side of TOTA—because I believe that when owners are strong, confident, and physically prepared, they’re better equipped to support their animals.
At TOTA, I combine veterinary physiotherapy with fitness coaching to take a truly holistic approach to wellbeing—for both animals and their humans. Whether your goal is recovery, performance, or long-term wellness, I’m here to help you and your animal move forward—together.

Veterinary Physiotherapy
At TOTA, our veterinary physiotherapy services are designed to support your animal’s recovery, performance, and overall wellbeing. Using evidence-based techniques and a holistic approach, we work closely with you and your vet to create tailored treatment plans that address both the physical and emotional needs of your animal.
We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, aiming to reduce pain, improve mobility, and enhance quality of life. Whether your animal is recovering from injury, managing a long-term condition, or preparing for competition, we’re here to help them move better, feel better, and thrive.
Dogs
Canine physiotherapy can be life-changing for dogs of all ages and activity levels. We commonly treat conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia, cruciate ligament injuries, arthritis, spinal issues (including IVDD), muscle strains, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Working dogs and sporting breeds may also benefit from performance-focused treatments to prevent injury and maintain optimal function. Our dog sessions are designed to be calm, comfortable, and tailored to your pet’s individual needs.
Horses
Equine physiotherapy is essential for supporting both performance horses and companions alike. We treat a variety of conditions including kissing spines, sacroiliac dysfunction, tendon and ligament injuries, back and neck pain, arthritis, and post-operative rehabilitation. Whether your horse is in active work, recovering from injury, or showing signs of discomfort under saddle, we develop a treatment plan to restore movement, strength, and performance, while promoting long-term musculoskeletal health.
Other Animals
While dogs and horses are most common, we also provide physiotherapy for other animals, including cats and small pets. For cats, common conditions include arthritis, soft tissue injuries, neurological issues, and post-surgical recovery. Feline physiotherapy requires a gentle, patient approach and is always adapted to suit your cat’s temperament and tolerance. We’re happy to discuss treatment options for a wide range of animals on a case-by-case basis.
Fitness coaching
At TOTA, we offer personalised online fitness coaching tailored to individuals who live active lives alongside animals. Whether you're a rider, runner, handler, or just passionate about feeling your best, our approach combines strength, mobility, stability, and endurance training to help you move better—for your sake and theirs.
Training is delivered through customised programs designed to fit your goals, lifestyle, and experience level. We support you every step of the way—wherever you are.

General Fitness and Wellbeing Training
If you’re looking to improve your overall health, boost energy, and feel better in your body, our general fitness coaching is for you.
We create custom training programs that incorporate strength, mobility, cardiovascular fitness, and flexibility.
Whether you're new to exercise or returning after a break, we’ll help you build a consistent, enjoyable routine that supports long-term wellness.

Equestrian and Canine Owner Training
Whether you're in the saddle or on the trail, your own fitness plays a crucial role in your animal’s performance and safety. Our specialist programs are designed for equestrians and canine owners—including agility handlers, canicross runners, and active dog owners.
For equestrians, we focus on core strength, symmetry, balance, and mobility to improve riding posture, effectiveness, and injury prevention. For dog owners involved in agility, canicross, or high-energy activities, training targets cardiovascular fitness, coordination, leg and core strength, and injury resilience.
These tailored programs not only enhance your own performance but help you become a stronger, more stable partner for your animal—improving communication, reducing risk, and increasing enjoyment in everything you do together.
Fitness Classes
Our exercise classes are designed especially for those who want to stay active, mobile, and confident in their everyday lives. Each session focuses on gentle, functional movements that improve balance, strength, flexibility, and overall wellbeing — all in a friendly, supportive environment. Whether you’re new to exercise or already active, these classes help you move with more ease, confidence, and joy.
Gentle Movements for Seniors - 11am 45 minutes
This class combines gentle chair-based exercise with simple movements that improve flexibility, circulation, and coordination. It’s safe, social, and a lovely way to stay active while caring for your joints and posture.
Mobility & Strength
12pm - 60 minutes
For those who are more mobile and want to build strength, stability, and confidence, this class blends mobility work, and gentle strength training. The focus is on improving posture, balance, and core strength to support functional movement in daily life. How does it work?
At TOTA, we bring a unique approach to supporting both animals and their human companions. Explore the sections below to discover how our services can support you and your animal partner on your journey to success

Veterinary Physiotherapy
The veterinary physiotherapy process at TOTA begins with you reaching out to us to discuss your animal’s needs. Once you’ve made an enquiry, we will liaise directly with your veterinary surgeon to obtain a referral, ensuring we work in compliance with veterinary regulations and have all the relevant medical history. After receiving the referral, we’ll be in touch to arrange an initial consultation at a time that suits you. During this first session, we will assess your animal’s condition, discuss a tailored treatment plan, and answer any questions you may have. This collaborative approach ensures the best care for your animal every step of the way.
Fitness Coaching
Once an enquiry has been received, we will start with a consultation call to understand what you’re looking for, the type of training you enjoy, and the skills you want to develop—whether it’s improving your fitness for horse riding, enhancing your abilities in agility, or achieving a personal fitness milestone. From there, I’ll design a tailored training program and gym sessions that are customized to suit your preferences and help you reach your goals efficiently and effectively. With a focus on both enjoyment and results, we’ll work together to unlock your full potential.
